In honor of Earth Day I just signed up with GreenDimes – a great service that helps stop junk mail from coming into your home. It took me less than 5 minutes, and costs $36 a year (a dime a day.) According to their site, each year junk mail producers use 100 million trees and 28 billion gallons of water. That’s a big environmental impact. Add the truly amazing ability that junk mail has to take over your house, and you’re not only doing the earth a favor, but giving yourself a present too. GreenDimes also plants a tree a month for every subscriber, by partnering up with American Forests, Sustainable Harvest International and Trees for the Future to plant trees in North America, Central America, South America, India, Senegal, and Haiti. Intrigued? Get more information or sign up here.
