as promised (look! I’m actually on time with a post I said I’d do!) here are the new hooks in our bedroom.
Nothing fancy – just some basic $2 hooks from the hardware store spraypainted pink (oh spray paint, how I love your magical ability to make anything look better.) T. thinks they look like baby octopuses. I think he might be right. Why does painting something pink always make it look cuter?
If you look in the background of this very washed-out picture (the problem with getting TONS of light in your house is that it sometimes makes it hard to take picture) you can see our HOOK hooks. Hooks are a necessity for our relationship – they keep me from throwing my clothes on the floor which in turn keeps T. from strangling me when I get mad at him for stepping on my clothes. That are on the floor. Mmm hmmm.
Not sure if anything is going to go above these hooks yet or not. I’m working hard to avoid my natural tendency to cover every surface, so for now I’m leaving it blank. But any ideas are appreciated.

Found your hooks post via AT. What color/type of spray paint is that? For some reason I always associate spray paint with bad car cover-up jobs (i.e. no this isn’t hasn’t completely rusted through …)
Diana – yes, I completely know what you mean, but there are some awesome (possibly newer?) spray paints out there. When I’m home tonight I’ll take a look at the can and give you the information, but I *think* the trick is to use high gloss enamel spray paint? Will confirm this tonight though. Thanks for reading!
You should glue googley eyes over the screws on those hooks, and then they’d really look like cute baby octopi.
