It really is a great city. I’ve been here at least a dozen times before, but it’s not a place you ever get over visiting. I find that every time I come I like it both a little less and much more than I remember (if that is possible or makes sense.) I have been [...]
The opening was great last night, lots of paintings have sold but there are still a lot available. Candy Store is a great place, definitely somewhere I’ll be returning to. Annie’s show will be up for a month – make sure you stop by to check it out if you’re in the area.
Miss Annie herself, [...]
Yesterday after work Annie of Wexford Girl and I met up to check out Rose and Radish’s new store theme last night – tea time. It was super adorable, and I picked up a few little things for a high tea baby shower I’m throwing next month. Unfortunately they don’t allow photos in the store, [...]
The flea market today (Sunday) was great, I managed to find what I was looking for – another dining room chair – and managed not buy a bunch of stuff that I wanted but didn’t need. It was the first really hot day of the year, which was nice except for the fact that T. [...]

T. and I spent all weekend out in West Marin, staying at my grandparent’s place in Stinson Beach, which is one of my favorite places in the entire world. Saturday was cold and rainy, so we decided to take a drive over to Point Reyes Station, a very cool little town with an awesome restaurant, [...]

A few more LA posts . . . Monday morning on my way out of town I stopped at the beach in Venice to walk around in the sand for a while and ran across these awesome graffitied palm trees. Now, normally I’m not so in to defacing nature, but this? Kinda worth it.

Sunday afternoon was spent at the Melrose Trading Post, an awesome flea market, where we made some great finds.
I bought the big green-blue carboy (glass jar) and Claire bought the lidded glass pan which we later used to bake some no-knead bread.
The Santa Monica farmer’s market (on Main Street) Sunday morning was way more packed than my usual farmer’s market in Oakland, but was great – especially the fantastic grilled corn on the cob. Produce is just super beautiful.
