Well, bright and early in the morning (actually around 11am) I’m heading down to LA (one of my very favorite places to visit,) to hang out with my friend Claire (one of my very favorite people,) for the weekend. We have lots of great stuff planned for the next few days, but first on the list is Friday Off the 405 at the Getty. I’ve been to the Getty many many times, and generally feel that the space is incredible and their collection is a little weak. Although I am sort of looking forward to this exhibit –
Headwaters, the Los Angeles River, Confluence of Arroyo Calabasas and Bell Creek, Canoga Park
from A Place in the Sun: Photographs of Los Angeles by John Humble
Anyways, an event that involves more hanging out in the space for free than paying money to see the collection sounds perfect. Details are:
Time: 6:00–9:00 p.m.
Location: Getty Center, Museum Courtyard
Admission: Free; no reservations required.
Featuring the music of: Peanut Butter Wolf and Honeycut
So if you’re in the LA area and need a beginning of the night activity come by and say hi!
I’ll be blogging while I’m down there, so stay tuned for some LA awesomeness.
