Monday Book: Heat

Heat by Bill Buford

I actually read this book while on vacation last August, but my bookclub recently read it so I skimmed through again. To keep this short (it is Labor Day after all, and I’m about to head out to a barbeque) if you’re interested in food and/or interested in restaurants, you’ll probably like Heat. It’s well written, pseudo-journalistic, a fairly quick read, and enjoyable. A good book to read, on, say, a day like today, where all you want to do it sit around with a beer and some snacks before settling back in your lounge chair and dreaming about food.
